Traumatic brain injuries can only be avoided by taking enough safety measures. 1. Wear helmets while riding two wheeler. 2. Wear seatbelt while traveling in or riding a car. 3. Don't drive under the influence of alcohol. 4. Make living area and playing areas safer for children. 5. Remove hazards in your home that may increase the risk of tripping or falling, such as unsecured rugs, electrical cords, and toys. 6. Don't use mobile phones while driving. 7. Use protective head gears while participating in activities like horse riding, baseball, skiing, cycling, wrestling, boxing etc.

Using seat belts on every trip, no matter how short. Make sure all passengers buckle up too. Buckling children in age and size appropriate car seats, booster seats, and seat belts. Kids age 12 and under should be properly buckled in the back seat.
